Team Introduction We are looking for Backend Engineers to join our Security team in building data security and privacy infrastructure that seamlessly and transparently applies industry-leading technologies to every ByteDance employee's day-to-day workflow. Our goal is to establish privacy-by-design practices, cultivate a trustworthy relationship with governments and regulators, and create a highly efficient and less intrusive global collaborative work environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with product and infra teams around the world, identify opportunities, define innovative ways to build a safe and trustworthy environment for our users, and help shape the future of ByteDance. Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, maintain and continuously improve ByteDance's data security and privacy infrastructure * Deploy, troubleshoot, and operate large distributed systems * Optimize reliability, availability and performance of globally distributed systems * Analyze product needs and security & privacy objectives to deliver results aligned with project goals * Research on cutting-edge privacy preserving technologies and apply into real-world engineering and business scenarios * Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables * Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development
