About the position

The CI Platform team at Datadog is dedicated to managing the Continuous Integration (CI) offerings for over 1500 engineers working on a unified product. The primary challenge we face is ensuring that engineers do not interfere with each other's work, which can lead to inefficiencies and errors. Our mission is to minimize friction among engineers by providing a fast, reliable, and user-friendly build and CI system. To achieve this, we are developing a cohesive platform that integrates established solutions like GitHub with new initiatives in our merge queue and release tooling. Our goal is to create a self-service platform for every Datadog engineer, ensuring that the process of building, testing, merging, and releasing code is consistent across all teams. At Datadog, we value our office culture, which fosters relationships, collaboration, and creativity. We operate as a hybrid workplace, allowing our employees to create a work-life balance that suits their individual needs. As a Software Engineer focused on Developer Efficiency, you will design and implement innovative solutions that enhance collaboration and streamline the process of shipping new code to production systems. You will take ownership of critical developer workflows, including the merge queue, change detection, and bundle release processes. Engaging directly with your customer base will be essential to understanding their needs and ensuring that our solutions effectively address them.
