About the position
The Software Engineer in Test role at Dexian focuses on ensuring the quality and performance of software applications through rigorous testing and automation. This position requires a blend of software development and QA engineering skills, emphasizing the importance of both manual and automated testing methodologies in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated tests using Selenium and Java.
- Collaborate with software developers to understand application features and design test cases accordingly.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards.
- Utilize defect tracking tools to manage and report issues effectively.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Test web applications and REST APIs to ensure functionality and performance.
- Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in QA Engineering and Software Development.
- Proficiency in coding standards, code reviews, and source control practices.
- Knowledge of Selenium automation framework (Java based).
- Understanding of Agile software development methodology using Scrum.
- Strong understanding of QA engineering, analysis, and testing concepts.
- Experience with Java development including Junit and Groovy.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Gherkin is a plus.
- Experience in testing web applications and Webservices (REST APIs).
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment.
