The Software Engineer Intern role will work within a team to deliver quality software solutions for the core Keyfactor product suite. The responsibilities include all aspects of the SDLC from requirements gathering to development to delivery. This is an entry-level position, the right person for this role would preferably have related work experience, training, or education in software product analysis, and requirements gathering, and development. Considering this is an intern position, experience may not be required for the right candidate. Applicants must hold US citizenship or US permanent resident status.

  • Develop new features and improve existing product features within the core Keyfactor product suite
  • Actively take part in Agile SCRUM ceremonies and work according to the associated practices
  • Work closely with the business and the engineering team on requirements gathering for product development
  • Work with other engineers and architects for code reviews and collaborate on any challenges
  • Participate in requirements reviews; Analyzes system and business requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and accurate
  • Identify any areas for improvement within the processes employed by the group
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance Engineers and participate in quality assurance practices to ensure the best possible products
  • Assist technical writer to ensure documentation is accurate and updated as needed
  • Participate in the onboarding of new team members
  • Be positive and professional in all work activities
  • Programming experience in an object-oriented language such as C#, Java or C++
  • Understanding of web technology concepts
  • JavaScript or JavaScript-based frameworks
  • Exposure to relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL
  • Experience with an Integrated Software Environment (IDE) such as Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Agile SCRUM or similar project management methodology
  • Public-Key Infrastructure (PKI) or cryptography
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to an ever-changing landscape
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management, project management and prioritization skills
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory Certificate Services
  • Willingness to be mentored and collaborate closely within a team
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
