About The Position

As a Software Engineer Lead at PNC, you will be responsible for the technical design and development of API software solutions within an Agile team. This role involves mentoring team members, addressing bugs, and proposing solutions to complex business needs. You will work closely with testers and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Java development (JAVA 8.0 and up).
  • Deep knowledge of Spring Framework.
  • Experience working with and writing RESTful APIs, specifically Spring Boot microservices.
  • Understanding of OPENAPI specification and its usage in describing HTTP APIs.
  • Familiarity with Microservices security best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and assume ownership of technical solutions.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working within an Agile Methodology.

Nice To Haves

  • DEVOPS/Continuous build environment knowledge and experience.
  • Understanding of Kafka streaming.
  • Exposure to OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with development tools such as Postman, IntelliJ IDEA, and VS Code.
  • Familiarity with data formats like JSON and XML.

Responsibilities

  • Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software development.
  • Facilitate complex problem resolution within the team.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, reviewing coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
