About the position

SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team, primarily focused on sensor and data fusion efforts. This remote position requires collaboration with team members and regular support for demonstrations. The role emphasizes modern software development practices influenced by agile methodologies and devops principles, with a strong focus on problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support sensor and data fusion efforts.
• Engage in general software development tasks including back end, front end, pipelines, infrastructure, and operations.
• Collaborate with team members through peer reviewing and pair programming.
• Provide verbal evidence of experience with sensors and data fusion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of experience or a Master's degree with no experience; four (4) years of experience can substitute for a degree.
• 2+ years of sensor and data fusion experience.
• Experience writing custom data fusion algorithms.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in bridging customer/business needs with technical implementations.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Git.
• Experience with Windows.
• Familiarity with a major programming language such as C++, C#, Python, Go, or Java.
