About the position

Join our Drive Inverter Firmware Team, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing world-class tools and infrastructure for Hardware, Processor, and Software-in-the-Loop (HIL, PIL, SIL) testing and validation. This is an opportunity to directly influence the software that powers electric vehicles and ensure that it's of the highest quality. You'll be crafting the systems that test, validate, and scale the embedded software at the core of our innovative electric drive systems-systems that are changing the way the world moves. As a Software Engineer on our team, you'll build the foundations that enable high-performance embedded systems to be tested more efficiently and effectively, giving us the confidence to release features with the reliability and speed that our customers expect. If you love solving complex technical challenges and want to make an impact on the rapidly evolving electric vehicle industry, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Build cutting-edge validation infrastructure by creating automated Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems to ensure our software is rigorously tested and validated, delivering high confidence in every release
  • Develop robust software tools by designing systems that support and streamline software development and testing, from scratch, empowering engineers to move faster and more effectively
  • Automate manual processes such as regression testing, ensuring that our testing procedures are not only efficient but also repeatable, accurate, and reliable
  • Build intuitive dashboards and reporting tools to provide key metrics and insights on system performance, helping the team stay aligned and informed
  • Work closely with a highly skilled team of embedded software engineers to solve some of the most challenging problems in embedded systems development

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in embedded software development, test development, or a related field, with a solid understanding of how to build and maintain testing infrastructure
  • Strong proficiency in C and Python, a deep understanding of scripting languages (such as Perl, Shell, or Bash) to automate processes
  • Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and continuous integration workflows to maintain clean, reliable code
  • Experience with automation frameworks and build tools like Jenkins, Docker, Buck2, or SCons that enhance and streamline testing and development processes

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Rust or a similar modern systems programming language
  • Familiarity with safety-critical embedded systems or experience working on highly complex, real-time applications
  • Ability to read and understand circuit schematics, providing you with deeper insight into the hardware and system interactions
  • Experience with FPGA/HDL
