About the position

Payments Product Development (PPD) develops and manages platform-oriented technology to advance the global growth of digital commerce and the mobilization of payments. Pairing a customer-first approach and relentless product innovation, we build the underlying technologies that enhance value propositions for Visa cardholders and business partners around the world. We are seeking a Software Engineer in Test to assist with Development and Test Engineering efforts for the Clearing and Settlement (CAS) system, one of Visa's largest revenue generating platforms and work with other peer test engineering organizations to ensure seamless code releases.

Responsibilities

  • Build test automation framework to support Clearing and Settlement System
  • Develop software to augment existing test automation tools
  • Build test tools to improve software quality and performance
  • Setup, configure, and maintain test environments
  • Collaborate with development team to analyze, debug and resolve design and code issues

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 or more years of work experience
  • Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++, Java, JavaScript or Go
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills, including hands on experience with operating systems such as Linux
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with other members of the team
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment
