About The Position

We are seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic Software Development Team, dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and supporting cutting-edge infrared and electro-optical solutions for military applications. The role focuses on real-time embedded software development in a collaborative environment, requiring expertise in various technical areas and the ability to lead projects.

Requirements

  • 10 years of real-time embedded software experience.
  • Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and Linux.
  • Hands-on experience with bare-metal development for embedded systems.
  • Skilled in working with TCP/IP, UART, I2C, PCIe, and other embedded device drivers.
  • Solid understanding of multi-threading and multi-processing concepts and implementations.
  • Strong development experience in C or C++ (minimum 3 years).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering technical field.
  • Active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with embedded systems, bare-metal development, and Linux (Red Hat or FreeRTOS).
  • Experience with device drivers and interfacing with hardware such as cameras or FPGAs.
  • Knowledge of USB and UART.
  • VXWorks experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in various technical activities.
  • Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • Lead and direct the work of others as assigned.
  • Experience with modern software development processes, including software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, peer review, and agile development life cycles.
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and customers as required.
  • Integrate hardware and software and develop test plans and procedures.
