About The Position

The Software Integration Lead at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics will manage the Virtual Integration Team (VIT) and oversee the technology development lifecycle, including system and software design, automation tooling, and software integration. This role involves working with various host systems, including aircraft software and simulated environments, to ensure effective software integration and performance management.

Requirements

• Experience programming in C++
• Experience developing software on Linux
• Experience leading large software teams
• Experience debugging software
• Experience integrating software in virtual lab environments

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or above from an accredited college/university in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with CI tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket
• Experience with automation tools and development
• Experience with Real-time simulation software development and integration
• A strong desire to drive team organization and performance to support defect containment
• A strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems
• Experience supporting aircraft build pipelines
• Experience with aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, and/or weapons

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a multi-program team of software engineers
• Develop and drive performance to a technical roadmap to ensure defect containment
• Develop, integrate, support, and debug software
• Troubleshoot and support CI/CD build pipelines
• Support the virtual development labs and aircraft software processes
• Design, develop and leverage open-source, commercial and in-house software to support automation infrastructure
• Attend and participate in daily scrums, sprint reviews and technical demos
