As a Senior Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. Our small agile teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs. In this role, you will manage software package processes for cutting-edge satellite ground systems. You will work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment. You will also learn modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques, software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects, and satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage software package processes for satellite ground systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience with software package management processes such as transferring software from unclassified to classified environments, repository mirror management, custom package creation, Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) creation and attestation, and artifact vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with tools such as Maven, Docker, Helm, PyPi, YUM, and Conan.
  • Experience with Linux and Git administration.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Experience developing software using Java.
  • Experience with Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience working with large-scale legacy software systems.
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
