About the position

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for software validation testing and support to ensure software systems meet customer requirements for both small systems and enterprise applications of varying complexities. This role involves evaluating system requirements, developing test scenarios, executing tests, documenting results, and coordinating with software developers and clients to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards.
  • Develops and writes testing scripts and plans to ensure that software functions as expected.
  • Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling, and system workflows.
  • Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects.
  • Verifies fixes and documents testing according to required procedures.
  • Adheres to defects management during test life cycles.
  • Trains customers and validates their ability to use and run applications, documenting results.
  • Participates in software requirements gathering for both custom-developed and commercial off-the-shelf systems.
  • Develops and documents test scenarios and/or use cases to validate software works as designed.
  • Works with software development teams to address and resolve defects.
  • Provides customer training and support for issues with computing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-4 years of experience directly related to software quality assurance duties.
  • Understanding and application of software testing principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and familiarity with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Pharmacy applications or Healthcare is highly preferred.
  • Experience with non-functional software testing (Performance, Usability, Security).
  • Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies.
