Software Quality Assurance Analyst

About the position

Xoriant Corporation in Edison, NJ is seeking applications for the position of Software Quality Assurance Analyst. The role involves preparing flowcharts and diagrams to convert project specifications into detailed instructions for coding. The analyst will oversee software installation, provide technical assistance to clients, and collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems. Responsibilities also include analyzing data from various sources, formulating test plans and strategies, and working on Big Data migration projects. The position requires performing tasks related to data analysis, validation, cleaning, and code deployment, as well as using CI/CD tools for build creations. The analyst will conduct test case execution and defect reporting, troubleshoot complex problems, and test software prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to convert project specifications into detailed instructions for coding.
• Oversee the installation of software and provide technical assistance to clients.
• Collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
• Analyze data from sources and prepare required Data Dictionary.
• Formulate Test Plans, Test Strategy, and Test Cases based on product requirements.
• Work on Big Data migration projects, moving data from RDBMS to HIVE and streaming data through Kafka.
• Perform data analysis, validation, cleaning, and code deployment tasks.
• Use CI/CD tools and practices for build creations.
• Conduct test case execution and defect reporting using defect tracking tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex OS level failures and infrastructure issues.
• Test software prototypes and propose data quality tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Five years of experience in job offered or related roles.
• At least two years of experience using Hadoop, Spark, Python, Selenium WebDriver, SQL Server, Shell Script, Unix.
• Willingness to travel/relocate to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
