About the position

Join our team in Instructional Products as we work to deliver experiences across the Apple ecosystem. We are responsible for the Tips applications and educational experiences on iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS platforms that deliver innovative ways to engage and educate users about their software and devices. We are looking for an automation engineer to help deliver world class experiences within Tips and Help applications across the Apple ecosystem. As a contributor on this diverse and creative team you will be responsible for shaping how Apple customers learn about their hardware and software.

Responsibilities

  • Providing quality-assurance testing for the software delivering instructional content on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS.
  • Designing test plans and scripts from functional specifications and assembling test cases.
  • Managing our CI/CD pipeline to report on building and testing results automatically and consistently.
  • Using bug-tracking software to report issues, and maintain records of reported and resolved issues.

Requirements

  • Skills in Swift, Python, and/or Objective-C.
  • Experience in developing automated test suites using technologies such as XCTest or XCUITest in an IDE, such as Xcode.
  • Experience with CI, CD, and automation pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with REST, deploying services with Docker/Kubernetes, and Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and strategies.
  • Strong communication skills working with a diverse technical and non-technical team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a consistent delivery of large scale projects.
