About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to join their team in King of Prussia, PA. This role involves working on mission-critical projects related to military satellite communications (SATCOM) Ground systems, focusing on developing and automating test solutions to ensure robust and secure software products. The position requires collaboration within an Agile Development Team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet stringent performance and security standards.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in software engineering or systems engineering with a focus on automated testing.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and/or Postman.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum, including experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Familiarity with modern web frameworks such as Angular or React and programming languages like C# or Node.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), particularly in secure, high-performance applications.
  • Final secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with military SATCOM systems and secure communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and backend technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps process, tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software solutions that meet customer requirements for secure military communications.
  • Develop and execute automated test cases using tools like Cypress, Selenium, and Postman.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across web applications and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements creation, test case development, and automated testing efforts.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
