About the position

The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) at KLA is at the forefront of providing market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for innovative integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing. Our products are essential for logic, foundry, and memory customers who rely on BBP's technology to detect yield-critical defects during process debugging and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes. The flagship products of BBP, including the 29xx and 39xx series, utilize Broadband Plasma technology to achieve ultimate sensitivity and optical inspection speeds necessary for inline defect monitoring. As a key member of our highly integrated multi-disciplinary team, you will manage the development of software solutions for various wafer inspection systems and product offerings. This role involves collaboration with various engineering and business teams, as well as direct interaction with customers to document product requirements, integrate features, and validate our differentiated solutions. You will be responsible for planning and managing breakthroughs, feature interdependencies, project schedules, and ensuring the overall quality of the product work being done. Your role will also require you to assess and evaluate risks while implementing project work with the urgency needed to deliver business value. Effective communication and collaboration with globally located teams—including marketing, engineering, manufacturing, service, field teams, and customers—will be crucial in resolving product issues and supporting revenue and profit realizations. You will demonstrate business insight by understanding the value proposition, feature capabilities, and how our solutions excel in the marketplace. In addition, you will lead taskforces, facilitate technical discussions with engineers, and appreciate key design decisions and the underlying software architectures and frameworks. Your leadership will empower and influence team members to achieve excellence in quality, reliability, usability, and capability, while also addressing conflicts and removing obstacles to focus on improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; or Master's Level Degree with 3 years related work experience; or Bachelor's Level Degree with 5 years related work experience.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, effective communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction or Product Development from inception to delivery.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Ability to work well with various customers and influence teams without direct authority.
