About the position

As a Software Test Engineer at Orion Innovation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify testing scenarios, developing test plans, and enhancing automation capabilities. You will be instrumental in driving quality assurance processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Enhance automation capabilities for testing the core platform.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to write test cases for new changes.
• Develop and agree on test plans with BAs and Software Development engineers, reviewing requirements and specifications.
• Contribute to improving the test automation framework for APIs and UIs.
• Support the BDD framework for generating test data and tasks via Jira or Gherkin feature files.
• Log bugs, report issues to developers, and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience as a software test engineer or software developer in Test Automation script development and execution.
• 7+ years of experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, and JavaScript.
• 7+ years of experience with various types of testing including functional, performance, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• 5+ years of experience in Automating WEB and API Testing.
• 4+ years of experience in Modern Automation framework design and development using frameworks such as Playwright, Cucumber, Cypress, Mocha, Chai, and Jest.
• 5+ years of experience with Behavioral Driven Development & Test-Driven Development.
• 5+ years of experience in preparing/minting test data and setting up test environments.
• 5+ years of experience in QA methodology and software development processes (Agile, Scrum).
• Strong experience in using software test tracking tools like JIRA/ADO and Test management tools like QTEST/XRay.
• Strong experience in using source code management tools like GITLAB/Bitbucket and CI/CD tools like Gitlab/Jenkins/Harness.
• Experience with testing REST/SOAP Services using API testing tools like Postman, SOAPUI.
• Good knowledge of databases and SQL.
