The role requires compliance with site assessments and schematics, which may include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. The installer will be responsible for promoting and adhering to all company and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues. In this role, the installer will utilize various hand tools and power tools to perform a range of functions necessary for the installation of photovoltaic systems. This includes laying out, assembling, and installing solar modules, panels, or support structures as specified in the project plans. The installer will also be required to lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies, maintaining a clean work area in accordance with the company's clean-as-you-go policy. Safety is a critical aspect of this position. The installer must take personal responsibility for their own health and safety, as well as that of others, by adhering to Wanzek's Zero Injury principles. This includes reporting accidents and near misses, participating in safety discussions, and identifying and mitigating safety hazards. The installer will also be expected to engage in on-the-job training and mentoring opportunities, producing quality work that meets industry standards and project specifications. Additionally, the installer will assist in the storage, planning, and layout of materials, and will be involved in inspecting field conditions to identify problems and suggest improvements.
