About the position

The Solution Sales Manager at Volvo Autonomous Solutions is responsible for driving sales and increasing market share for the Autonomous Transport Solution (ATS) in the North American market. This role involves securing new business, managing customer interactions, and collaborating with various teams to facilitate the onboarding of new customers. The position requires a dynamic individual who can creatively approach sales in the evolving transport industry, focusing on sustainable solutions and advanced technology.

Responsibilities

  • Securing new business from companies currently not using the ATS to increase market share.
  • Developing a sales penetration plan.
  • Managing customer interactions including prospecting, qualifying, and deal closure.
  • Earning the trust of customers and recommending solutions that fit their business needs.
  • Focusing on selling the ATS through face-to-face and remote interactions.
  • Using a consultative solution sales approach to secure new business.
  • Maintaining regular and consistent contact with customers to meet their requirements.
  • Presenting Volvo Autonomous Solutions and the ATS to customers.
  • Developing a complete understanding of customers' business, goals, and objectives.
  • Facilitating communication between customers and Volvo Autonomous Solutions departments or partners.
  • Being highly involved in Marketing and Communication activities.
  • Collaborating with the business development team to forecast pricing, business plans, and customer strategy.
  • Onboarding new customers effectively to hand them off to the operations team.
  • Administrating the Customer Relationship Management and reporting customer success KPIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in Sales/Sales Management specifically selling to transport purchasers.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the logistics and transportation industry.
  • Strong client relations skills including excellent communication skills, service orientation, and cooperation to resolve customer and company problems.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Expert use of MS Office Suite, CRMs, and sales and marketing automation tools.
  • Availability to travel.
