Solutions Engineer, Qt

About the position

Qt Group is seeking a dynamic Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team. In this role, you will be a key technical partner to the regional sales team, delivering compelling product demonstrations, crafting tailored solutions, and guiding prospective customers through every stage of the technical sales process. You'll engage directly with Director- and VP-level engineering leaders, helping them solve complex development challenges and drive meaningful business outcomes through a consultative, solution-focused approach. Your ability to bridge technical insights with business needs will be essential to our continued growth. This role can be based in Dallas, TX or Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present clear, compelling business and technical messaging tailored to customer needs
• Whiteboard solution architectures and business concepts during customer engagements
• Deliver engaging live and virtual product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Articulate Qt's value proposition and technical differentiators to potential customers and partners
• Lead technical evaluations including installations, configurations, proof of concepts (PoCs), and complex demos
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, ensuring a positive and productive evaluation experience
• Contribute to proposal development and RFP responses, aligning solutions with customer goals
• Provide feedback to Qt product and engineering teams based on customer input and market needs
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design tailored solutions that meet customer requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Sales/Solutions Engineering or Software Engineering, preferably with enterprise software, development platforms, or tools
• Solid understanding and experience with C/C++ (required), Qt, and preferably other object-oriented languages (Java, Python)
• Ability to assess customer needs, uncover technical challenges, and craft tailored solutions
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry is a strong plus
• Bilingual in Portuguese preferred

• Proven ability to present to C-level stakeholders and lead deep-dive technical discussions with engineering teams
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and architecture, with an ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Passion for technology, with a consultative mindset and customer-first approach
