About the position

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the management of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and service. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Sous Chef will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards, managing inventory, and supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
  • Help manage shift schedules and delegate tasks to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to create menus that meet guest dietary needs and preferences.
  • Monitor food preparation processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Maintain inventory management by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in food service techniques, presentation, and sanitation practices.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar environment.
  • Strong background in food management and service management practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in shift management or team supervision.
