Space Robotics Engineer III

About the position

TSC is looking for an experienced Space Robotics Engineer in Washington, D.C. Our diverse portfolio includes providing full lifecycle support in Precision Strike and Area Effects; Area Protection; Airborne Sensors and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Vehicle Protection; Electronic Warfare Systems; Air and Missile Defense; Space Systems, and Intelligence and Information Systems.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field required.
• Knowledgeable about robotic control and state estimation techniques.
• Experience with robotic manipulator kinematics, path planning, and simulation environments.
• Experience with robotic in-space assembly, either through participation in on-orbit demos or ground-based hardware simulation environments.
• Understanding of the space environment with experience designing robotic algorithms to operate in space.
• Understanding of modern deep learning techniques.
• Broad knowledge about the state of US space robotics and robotic in-space assembly.
• Experience with zero-gravity simulation environments.
• Must be a US citizen with a Secret security clearance.
