About The Position

The Behavior Technician role at MeBe Family involves providing evidence-based therapies to children with autism and other special needs in a center-based setting. The position focuses on teaching behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills through individualized treatment plans, while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. The role is designed for compassionate individuals who are eager to learn and make a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.

Requirements

  • Consistent availability from Monday through Friday.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • RBT/CBT certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment.
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work with computers.
  • If residing in CA, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children with autism or special needs.
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting.
  • Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to enhance communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
  • Relay information on children's progress to BCBAs and assist with assessments.
  • Accurately record progress in the data collection system Central Reach using a tablet.
  • Clock in, submit session notes, and clock out in compliance with ABA and insurance regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workplace.
  • Assist children with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing.
  • Communicate questions, issues, and concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Contribute positively to the MeBe Family culture.
