About The Position

The Engineering Supervisor will assist the Sr. Engineering Manager in overseeing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a motivated and competent team. This role involves planning, executing, and managing engineering tasks while promoting a positive company culture and employee retention.

Requirements

  • Engineering management experience.
  • Mechanical and electromechanical design expertise.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Experience in the product development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of medical device standards, plastic systems, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  • Ensuring ISO certification standards are met.
  • Supporting the Quality/Business System in respective areas of responsibility.
  • Monitoring progress of objectives for ISO certification and QSR requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with a broad spectrum of audiences.
  • Professional and proactive interaction with internal and external functions/customers.
  • Ability to utilize and weigh the opinion of subject matter experts.
  • Maintaining project momentum and dealing with diverse personalities.
  • Solid Microsoft software usage skills.
  • Strong planning, project management, and organizational competencies.
  • Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professional communications and presentations.

  • Proven ability to grasp general knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sr. Engineering Manager in planning, executing, and managing engineering activities.
  • Communicate, guide, and assist engineers in completing assigned tasks.
  • Identify blockers impacting engineers and take appropriate action to resolve or mitigate issues.
  • Plan sequential and concurrent activities and assign tasks to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and directives.
  • Facilitate an environment to maintain a highly competent, well-trained, and motivated staff.
  • Promote company culture, job satisfaction, and employee retention.
  • Identify and assist in implementing technology and process improvements.
  • Establish team objectives and obtain acceptance from team members.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Sr. Engineering Manager.
