About the position
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment in a warehouse environment. This role involves moving, locating, stacking, and counting merchandise, as well as performing order filler or checker duties as needed. The position requires experience with various types of forklifts and the ability to handle physical tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, clamp, push-pull, or other powered equipment.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in loading and shipping.
- Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
Requirements
- Must have turret, sit down forklift, and clamp operator experience.
- Must have forklift experience in the last 6 months.
- Ability to lift and/or pull 75 lbs. without restriction.
- Basic inventory and counting skills required.
- Capable of off-loading trailers effectively and safely without damaging product.
