About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic position is a full-time role focused on ensuring the efficient operation and safety of facilities through skilled maintenance and repair of various systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This role requires proactive maintenance practices and effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of inverters and proximity switches is required.
  • Ability to service and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Basic refrigeration knowledge is required.
  • Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Execute job order assignments and maintain accurate job order records.
  • Perform troubleshooting functions to keep machinery in efficient running condition.
  • Read and interpret schematics and manuals related to equipment.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
  • Service and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Utilize machine shop tools, such as micrometers and dial indicators, to service equipment.
  • Service and maintain production lines for efficient operation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules as assigned.
  • Train other maintenance team members on the job.
  • Assist team members with troubleshooting as needed.
  • Understand and implement appropriate safety procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Utilize logic controllers and Ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
