About The Position

The Project Finance Associate II at HNTB Corporation is responsible for maintaining project-related financial data within the company's project management system. This role ensures compliance with client contracts, including change orders and subconsultant agreements, while supporting the project finance team in billing and financial reporting. Requirements

  • Associate degree and 2 years of relevant work experience, or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of education.
  • Intermediate knowledge of GAAP accounting rules.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or BST 10.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Basic skill set in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Attention to detail and organizational time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately updates the project management system by translating client and project workplan data based on contract and change order review.
  • Facilitates access to project tasks and phases in the project management system.
  • Ensures project costs are properly coded and allocated by maintaining awareness of project status.
  • Manages cost transfers to and from projects/tasks.
  • Supports the project finance team in reviewing and approving project invoices, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Generates routine and ad hoc internal project financial performance reports for project and office teams.
  • Reviews and provides financial approval of vendor/subconsultant invoices for accuracy and contractual compliance.
  • Obtains necessary approvals and tracks internal workflow status for timely outcomes.
  • Partners with the project team to develop and maintain client and subconsultant relationships.
  • May assist or lead the subcontracting processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supports the proposal process, including gross margin analysis and cost proposal development.
