About The Position

The Residential Solar Project Manager will oversee the post-installation phase of solar projects, ensuring compliance with finance partner requirements, AHJ standards, and utility inspection criteria. This role involves hands-on collaboration with field technicians and internal teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and successfully.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential solar system installations is required.
• Strong ability to assess project status and determine necessary steps for completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide clear, actionable solutions.
• Familiarity with solar system components, AHJ/utility standards, and post-installation requirements.
• Capability to lead, mentor, and support field technicians and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years in residential solar installation and project management.
• Experience managing post-commissioning service calls.
• Familiarity with permitting processes, AHJ inspections, and utility company standards.
• Knowledge of project management tools and solar software.

Responsibilities

• Assess completed installations to identify outstanding items required for full system functionality and compliance.
• Develop and oversee action plans to meet finance partner, AHJ, and utility inspection requirements.
• Work closely with field technicians, offering technical guidance and answering questions.
• Communicate effectively with on-site teams to ensure all tasks are executed correctly and on schedule.
• Assist in managing and resolving post-commissioning service calls to ensure continued system performance and customer satisfaction.
• Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and technical solutions to resolve challenges during project completion.
