About The Position

The Retail Key Holder at Party City is responsible for ensuring the store is customer-ready and leading the team in a fast-paced retail environment. This part-time position involves opening and closing the store, managing cash tills, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining store operations. Key Holders play a vital role in fostering a customer-obsessed culture and creating a fun shopping experience for customers planning events and parties.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including alarm activation and deactivation.
• Count and prepare tills for store opening and balance them at the end of the day.
• Prepare deposits and count the safe.
• Perform customer service interventions at registers, including price overrides, discounts, refunds, and exchanges.
• Act as Leader on Duty (LOD) in the absence of Store Team Leader or Team Leader.
• Review and validate that Daily Party Plan tasks are completed when performing LOD functions.
• Solve customer-related issues while acting in the LOD role.
• Execute Emergency Response procedures as needed when acting in the LOD function.
• Receive freight and maintain receiving procedures.
• Prepare balloon orders for the next day.
• Conduct recovery and cleaning of the store, including sales floor, counter, backroom, breakroom, bathroom, and office.
• Perform daily scan audits and communication reviews on Party Central.
