About The Position

The RN Float Pool PRN position at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center involves providing compassionate nursing care across various departments as needed. Requirements

  • Current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license eligible for Virginia.
  • ADN degree required; BSN preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: In-Patient, Emergency Room, ICU, PCU, Medical/Surgical, Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments to patients.
  • Change dressings and clean wounds as necessary.
  • Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
  • Coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Educate and instruct patients and their families on care procedures.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for patient care across disciplines.
  • Guide and support new employees in their roles.
  • Ensure patient, personal, and departmental safety during job tasks.
