About The Position

The Solution Architect for Computer Integrated Manufacturing at Bridgestone will play a pivotal role in driving the company's technological transformation aligned with Industry 4.0. This position focuses on enhancing the Connected Factory and Connected Products initiatives by collaborating with various teams across Manufacturing, Product Development, and Quality Assurance. The architect will be responsible for proposing innovative solutions, overseeing their implementation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives while improving user experiences.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 years of proven experience in solution architecture methodologies and frameworks.
  • Solid background in the tire or rubber industry with knowledge of tire design, production, and QA processes.
  • Creative and analytical mindset for designing and implementing solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, technology architecture design, or systems integration.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of IT-OT integration tools and capabilities, including databases and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience in defining, deploying, and maintaining ETL/ELT operations for large scale manufacturing plants.
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments with a grasp of Industry 4.0 principles.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage time/tasks independently.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and proposing innovative and cost-effective solutions leveraging IoT, automation, analytics, and cloud computing.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of proposed solutions with existing systems.
  • Overseeing the implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions, providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluating the performance and impact of solutions, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Communicating and presenting to users/stakeholders at various organizational levels globally.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on IIoT, Industry 4.0, and Smart Manufacturing trends.
  • Identifying alternative architectural approaches and formulating recommendations based on economic analysis and business requirements.
  • Managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously without disruption in deliverables.
  • Understanding business requirements and challenges in the tire industry, including market trends and production processes.
