About The Position

The Teacher for Tech Applications is responsible for providing students with engaging learning activities and experiences that promote their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. This role involves planning and implementing lesson plans, assessing student achievement, and creating a conducive classroom environment. The teacher will also communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff while adhering to educational guidelines and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and procedures.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction and subjects assigned.
• Skill in effectively managing a classroom and student behavior.
• Skill in communicating effectively with others.
• Skill in modifying instruction for various student needs.
• Skill in working with various forms of equipment including personal computers, calculators, projectors, and printers.
• Skill in using computer tools such as email, internet, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Skill in working in collaborative team-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district's instructional program requirements.
• Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits, conducting ongoing assessments of student achievement.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to active and successful student learning and manage student behavior.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Complete documentation for students in special programs as required by guidelines.
• Follow the Educator Code of Conduct and all relevant policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
