About the position

The Turnaround (TAR) System Improvement Lead is responsible for leading the development and improvement of TAR-specific applications and tools within the Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group at Air Products. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency through data-driven solutions, continuous improvement methodologies, and collaboration with various teams to ensure sustainable improvements in turnaround processes. The position requires a proactive individual who can manage change effectively and foster a culture of excellence within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & own the development or improvement of TAR specific DT Applications and program tools administration.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Turnarounds DT efficiencies.
  • Develop work practices, tools, and training to support long-term sustainability.
  • Identify, develop, and lead initiatives to streamline current processes and resolve systemic issues.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to implement data-driven solutions and track progress.
  • Lead and support change management efforts related to process improvements.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to ensure initiatives align with organizational priorities.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts within the TAR team.

Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years relevant experience in maintenance, IT, and/or engineering disciplines, with an understanding of turnarounds preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work professionally and harmoniously with various stakeholders.
  • Utilizes a positive and constructive attitude toward problem resolution.
  • Accepts direction, constructive feedback, and supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and process improvement tools (e.g. Mural, Vision).
  • Experience in methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, WAVE, Kaizen, RCA.
