About the position

The Special Assistant to the Chief Executive at NYC Health + Hospitals plays a crucial role in supporting the CEO and executive team in strategic planning, project management, and operational excellence. This position involves coordinating initiatives, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering interdepartmental collaboration to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations of proposed Gotham Health programs, gathering data and proposing solutions.
  • Develop, establish, implement, and recommend policies and procedures to improve operations.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and operational aspects of approved programs.
  • Plan and integrate programs within the system in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Represent Gotham Health in meetings, hearings, and conferences.
  • Assist in developing reports and studies related to corporate functions.

Requirements

  • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and three years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with two years of experience in health and medical service administration or related fields.
  • Experience in strategic planning, project management, and operational excellence.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of experience in business management or executive roles, preferably in a Chief of Staff capacity.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
