About the position

The Special Education Preschool Teacher will be responsible for providing direct instruction to preschool students with disabilities, focusing on the objectives outlined in each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). This role requires a deep understanding of special education practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. The teacher will work closely with students to foster their academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring that they receive the support necessary to thrive in an educational setting. Collaboration with other educators, therapists, and parents will be essential to create a comprehensive support system for each child. The teacher will also be responsible for assessing student progress and modifying instructional strategies as needed to ensure that all students are making meaningful gains toward their educational goals. Additionally, the teacher will participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Must be a certified teacher in special education.
• Extensive experience working with students with disabilities.
