About the position

The Special Education Teacher Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting students with special needs at Gates Elementary School. This position involves working closely with certified special education teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide assistance to students in both academic and social settings. The assistant will help facilitate learning by providing one-on-one support, assisting with classroom management, and promoting a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Patience, compassion, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a classroom setting, particularly in special education.
