The Special Education Teacher for the Cross Categorical Program at Champaign Unit 4 School District is a part-time position (0.5 FTE) that focuses on providing specialized educational support to students with diverse learning needs. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements, ensuring that they receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to succeed in their educational journey. This role requires a commitment to educational justice, equity, and excellence, aligning with the district's mission to positively transform learning and life outcomes for students. In this position, the teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment. The position is located at South Side Elementary and is set to begin in August 2024.
