About the position

The position involves developing and implementing individualized educational programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring that each student receives tailored support to help them achieve their fullest potential. This role requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and specialists to create a comprehensive educational plan that addresses the unique needs of each student. The educator will assess students' abilities and challenges, set measurable goals, and monitor progress regularly. Additionally, the position includes providing direct instruction, facilitating accommodations, and utilizing various teaching strategies to engage students effectively. The educator will also be responsible for fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being among students with disabilities. Regular communication with families and participation in professional development opportunities are essential components of this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• State certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and specialists.
