About the position

ATX Learning is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers/Resource Specialists for our educational sites in Empire, California. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with mild to moderate disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a current teaching license and be comfortable working with students across various age groups. The role involves developing and implementing educational plans tailored to meet individual student needs, ensuring adherence to the prescribed curriculum while adapting lessons to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Additionally, the Special Education Teacher will participate in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner. This position is not only about teaching but also about empowering students to develop independent learning skills and achieve their personal best. The assignment is structured as a full-time role, requiring the Resource Specialist to work five days a week. The caseload will primarily consist of students with mild to moderate disabilities, and the position is expected to start immediately and continue until the end of the school year, with the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current teaching certificate.
  • One year of teaching experience in a public school or charter school setting preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
