ATX Learning is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers/Resource Specialists for our educational sites in Nevada City, California. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with special needs. The ideal candidate will possess a current license to practice and demonstrate comfort in working with students across all age groups. The role involves developing engaging lesson plans that not only enhance student learning but also promote independent learning skills. Additionally, the Special Education Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing educational plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring adherence to the prescribed curriculum while also adapting lessons to make them meaningful and accessible. In this position, you will actively participate in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and are expected to complete all assigned documentation in a timely manner. The caseload will primarily consist of students with mild to moderate disabilities, and the role is structured for a full-time commitment of five days a week. The start date for this position is immediate, and it is renewable until the end of the school year, providing an opportunity for long-term engagement with our students and community.
