Responsibilities

  • Engage and communicate with members, making them feel welcome and addressing them by name.
  • Identify and address new participants.
  • Stay updated on current programs and facility schedules to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Create a fun and safe environment for learning dance.
  • Ensure the health and safety of individuals during class and provide first aid when necessary.
  • Report accidents and injuries and complete accident reports.
  • Set up and break down equipment as needed.
  • Attend 80% of staff meetings.
  • Model core values of respect, honesty, caring, and responsibility with members and staff.
  • Enhance professional development through workshops and educational courses.
  • Maintain accurate participant records and attendance.
  • Find class coverage or communicate with the supervisor to cancel class.
  • Instruct age-appropriate classes using suitable music and choreography.
  • Attend special performance events such as Spirit Day and Annual Recital.

Requirements

  • High School (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Proof of teaching experience or willingness to train.
