About the position

The Specialist, IT Station Support role at Frontier Airlines is a senior technical position responsible for delivering IT infrastructure services to various airport locations. This role involves establishing relationships with business leadership, managing IT projects, and coordinating resources to ensure operational efficiency. The specialist will troubleshoot complex IT issues, oversee network performance, and implement IT processes to standardize operations across the airline's stations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for IT infrastructure services at airports.
• Assess and prioritize network circuit deliverables and perform network equipment deployments.
• Collaborate with business leadership to align IT operations with business objectives.
• Develop implementation and project plans for airport openings, closings, and equipment changes.
• Direct activities of IT personnel on network-related issues and project work.
• Serve as an escalation resource for junior support personnel and management.
• Document IT equipment locations and interconnections using Microsoft Visio.
• Identify and troubleshoot network connectivity problems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on networking components and systems.
• Monitor network performance and prepare plans for disaster recovery.

Requirements

• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience supporting MS Windows.
• 5+ years' experience supporting networked printers.
• 5+ years' experience with PC hardware and software.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• IT project management experience preferred.
• 8+ years of airline experience or airport knowledge.
• 5+ years of fiber optics experience.
• 4+ years of telecom circuit knowledge.
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications.

Nice-to-haves

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Cisco CCNA certification.
• Prior knowledge of or interest in the airline industry.
