About the position

The Specialist, Product Portfolio Management role at S&P Global Mobility involves managing the operational aspects of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) within the Automotive Insights team. This position is crucial for overseeing product development projects, ensuring effective collaboration across various business functions, and supporting the annual product portfolio planning process. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, international team environment, providing visibility and learning opportunities across different functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the approval process of product development projects and track/report on large development programs.
  • Oversee individual product development approval stages, including reviews with product teams and managing the approval process with business line management.
  • Run the Program Management Office (PMO) to track progress of approved development projects, flag deviations, and initiate mitigation strategies.
  • Support the annual product portfolio planning process and manage updates throughout the year.
  • Collaborate closely with the Automotive management team, product and development leads, and central functions such as Finance, Sales, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field with a thorough understanding of business management.
  • 3+ years of experience in a product or development program management role, handling multiple products and/or projects.
  • Strong practical experience in product management or program management with exposure to product development processes and information technologies.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English to effectively communicate with stakeholders throughout the product approval, development, and launch process.
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of programs and work with individuals from various functions and geographies.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, and capable of self-learning.
