About the position

The position involves planning, designing, and implementing a Test Automation Framework required for fully automating the testing of applications. The candidate will adhere to Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodology while front-running test automation alongside development. Responsibilities include planning and executing activities related to test preparation scripting, execution, and reporting, working within an Agile team to support automation test activities, and creating and expanding Test automation frameworks with the Genie framework. The candidate will also prepare the Automation Test Strategy and roadmap for the area and communicate with the Scrum Master and stakeholders regarding Test Status, risks, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and implement Test Automation Framework.
  • Adhere to Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodology.
  • Plan and execute test preparation scripting, execution, and reporting.
  • Work within Agile team to support automation test activities.
  • Create and expand Test automation frameworks with Genie framework.
  • Prepare Automation Test Strategy and roadmap.
  • Communicate Test Status, risks, and issue resolution to Scrum Master and stakeholders.
  • Display exemplary conduct and adhere to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience using test automation frameworks: Java + Selenium.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as Jmeter / Load Runner.
  • Hands-on experience in DB level and service level testing, ETL.
  • Experience in Automation testing using BDD Cucumber framework.
  • Familiarity with tools like GIT/Stash and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of Cucumber testing framework and Gherkin test-case definition language.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, DOM model, XML, XPATH, JavaScript, SQL.
  • Knowledge in Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Eclipse and IntelliJ.

  • Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computers/IT/Engineering preferred.
