The Captain role exists to operate as Pilot in Command for Dynamic Aviation's spray operations (spray season primarily April through November) and/or other departments outside of the spray season.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of Pilot in Command (PIC)
  • Become familiar with the mission requirements and, in conjunction with the customer, plan the application for the mission, using AG-NAV Flight Guidance, AIMMS and other mission specific equipment
  • Communicate effectively and routinely with customer about crew rotation plans, crew rest, maintenance requirements, and weather outlook considerations
  • Work proactively with the operations manager and supporting flight operations departments to plan efficient operations
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and on the job training to First Officers
  • Provide safe, precise flying for customer operations
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate state licensing for Aerial Application operational needs
  • Assist with maintaining the aircraft and mission specific equipment in accordance with FAA and company standards
  • Available to perform flight duties for other company segments as needed
  • Possess current NVG qualification and maintain currency in accordance with FAR 61.57
  • Demonstrate proficiency in NVG operations, including takeoffs, landings, and transitions between aided and unaided flight
  • Conduct and log a minimum of three NVG operations within the preceding 2 calendar months to maintain PIC currency
  • Complete annual NVG proficiency checks and refresher training

Requirements

  • Possess at least an FAA Commercial Multi-engine Certificate with Instrument Rating
  • Possess at least a 2nd class medical
  • Possess a minimum of 1200 hours total time, with 100 hours in type (King Air)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products, AG-NAV and/or other GPS guidance for aerial applications
  • Relocation is required to the Sarasota, Florida or Bridgewater, VA
  • Availability is required 5 days/week during the April through November spray season
  • 5 Nights a week are required as well

Nice-to-haves

  • ULV mosquito and other low level aerial agricultural operations experience preferred
  • Create and maintain flight region maps using GIS tools to support spray operations
  • Process and analyze post-flight data to generate reports and update spray application reports
  • Utilize GIS for pre-flight planning, including identification of hazards
  • Proficiency in basic GIS software applications, particularly for spray purposes
