About the position

The Disneyland Resort Revenue Management & Analytics/Finance organization is focused on driving commercial, financial, and operational value for Disney Parks through strategic and analytical thinking. This role involves optimizing revenue and defining long-term revenue management strategies by analyzing and visualizing data, transforming it into actionable insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and experience in statistical/data science modeling, data visualization, and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

  • Inform optimal inventory allocations and strategies by measuring the success of past decisions and providing actionable insights on future opportunities.
  • Create and maintain data visualization dashboards using Tableau or similar tools to deliver insights and enable internal efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data analysis and reporting, ensuring data quality and optimizing data processes.
  • Leverage mathematical and statistical techniques to develop predictive models that improve demand forecasts and inform business decisions.
  • Plan, initiate, and manage collaborative technology projects to drive business value and optimize inventory.
  • Liaise between Revenue Management and Data Science Partners to develop and improve products and tools that deliver business results.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in statistical, business analytics, data science, and/or strategy development.
  • Skilled in storytelling through data integration and visualization with professional experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Proficiency in acquiring and manipulating large amounts of data, applying advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VBA) and using scripting languages (SQL, Python, etc.).
  • Excellent data analysis skills with an eye towards identifying business trends to turn into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on the audience.
  • Proven problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience using statistical modeling, optimization, or data science techniques to drive business decisions.
  • Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting.
