The data engineering team's mission is to create and maintain comprehensive enterprise-level reports, dashboards, and in-depth ad-hoc analysis that covers a wide array of domains and levels of detail. They play a key role in guiding users towards practical and actionable solutions that leverage data analytics to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive enterprise-level reports, dashboards, and in-depth ad-hoc analysis that covers a wide array of domains and levels of detail.
• Effectively communicate with business users, ensuring they understand the precise scope of metrics and KPIs presented in reports.
• Tell the data story and how it applies to the business or products involved.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the analytics requirements and opportunities.
• Translate complex technology and business requirements into detailed specification documents and reports.
• Plan, conduct, and oversee the analysis of intricate business processes, problems, and projects.
• Uncover actionable insights that can inform key business decisions and KPIs.
• Be the liaison between core data engineering and business and product analysts across the organization.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving abilities and deep curiosity to address business and product challenges and find innovative solutions in data analysis and reporting tasks.
• Excellent at multitasking, efficiently handling multiple requests and reports even when facing tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic startup-like environment.
• Possess a solid understanding of data structures, design patterns, and algorithms, along with basic statistics knowledge (e.g., confidence intervals, statistical significance) with 5-7 years of similar experience.
• Leveraged machine learning models or large language models to tackle complex problems.
• Proficient in working with various data sources, including APIs, RDBMS, structured and unstructured data.
• Possessing strong SQL skills for data manipulation and query execution.
• Proficient in Python, enabling the creation of custom tools and scripts for data analysis and processing.
• Strong experience with BI tools such as Excel, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or other similar tools for data visualization and reporting.
• Design, implement, and maintain data models and data architecture to support both traditional analytics and advanced data science projects.
• Skilled in modeling data and relationships using methodologies like Data Vault, 3rd normal form, Kimball, or Boyce-Codd Normal form ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into our data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy models into production and monitor their performance over time.
• Integrate analytics tools and machine learning frameworks with the data warehouse to facilitate seamless data access and reporting for end-users.
• Work closely with data engineers to implement data structures that support both traditional and advanced analytics.
• Capable of working effectively within a small, agile team and seamlessly switching between different tasks and contexts as needed.
• Demonstrating a high level of motivation with a genuine desire to delve into raw data to uncover behavioral trends and derive valuable insights.
