About the position

This position is located in either Modesto, CA and/or Dallas, TX with an annual travel expectation of 25%. The role manages specific brand-building for partner brand initiatives that deliver against brand objectives and business needs. It maintains complete responsibility for the business review of assigned brands, identifying action items and initiatives for the marketing plan, ensuring that marketing plans are consistent with the company's growth and profit objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day relationship with key partner brand entities inclusive of trade programming development and execution.
  • Provides commercial guidance and execution.
  • Manages development of portions of brand plan (e.g., subline or channel plan, key marketing initiatives).
  • Contributes to subsets of Agile Roadmap development and delivery with assistance from Brand Manager and Subject Matter Expert partners.
  • Understands components of Brand Strategic Positioning and participates in development.
  • Pulls relevant data for decision making and articulates drivers behind under or over performance.
  • Understands brand architecture and partners with Brand Manager to manage a subline within architecture.
  • Contributes to development of the 3Y operating plan.
  • Makes trade-offs between different elements of the P&L to deliver financial results.
  • Leads demand prep on behalf of assigned brand, articulating risks & opportunities.
  • Screens for opportunities using portfolio roles.
  • Contributes to Sixth Standard strategy and develops Brand Standards for Six Standards of Execution.
  • Allocates and delivers the annual budget against channels that correspond with brand strategy.
  • Completes monthly market visits to evaluate activation tools supporting sales execution.
  • Evaluates innovative marketing methods in support of consumer targets.
  • Demonstrates consumer empathy for select target consumer groups.
  • Supports Outcome Owner in development of Opportunity Audience and Inspirational Archetype.
  • Drives development and optimization of Brand Story and Visual Guidelines.
  • Articulates a clear perspective based on Creative Platforms and Comms strategy.
  • Delivers on-time, go-to-market materials.
  • Understands and complies with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree plus 2 years of experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's plus 3 years of Gallo sales, marketing, engineering or operations experience; OR High School diploma plus 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Required to travel up to 25% of the time in-market.
  • Strong analytical & financial acumen.
  • Skilled in project management.
  • Ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Required to be 18 years or older.
