About the position

The Sr. Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization from cyber threats by monitoring IT systems, managing security programs, and implementing security tools. This role involves developing and managing information security programs, conducting vulnerability assessments, and leading incident response efforts. The analyst will also work with third-party security vendors and lead educational initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Protect the organization from cyber-attacks by monitoring information technology systems and evaluating threats.
  • Support in the implementation and management of cyber security programs, data loss prevention, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop information security programs and implement NIST-800-171/CMMC Framework.
  • Manage system security plans and update the Supplier Performance Risk System score.
  • Lead MS365/O365 security and compliance implementation, ensuring security requirements are met.
  • Manage the SIEM solution and assist in remediation of cyber security alerts.
  • Define technical and business processes related to data protection strategies and implement DLP solutions.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and interface with technical teams for remediation.
  • Audit endpoint and server patching processes to identify and resolve gaps.
  • Conduct network/host monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using various tools.
  • Lead security incident investigations and collaborate with technical teams for resolution.
  • Monitor the corporate network for vulnerabilities and security threats, remediating breaches as necessary.
  • Research the latest cyber security trends and apply knowledge as needed.
  • Lead cyber security education and simulated phishing tests.
  • Work with third-party security vendors such as MSSP.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business, information technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience supporting, securing, and maintaining networks, servers, and cloud environments.
  • Experience with system installation, configuration, analysis, and capacity planning.
  • Certification(s) in information security such as CISSP or CISM.
  • Working knowledge of network performance monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds or Nagios.
  • Knowledge of project management and diagramming applications such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
