Innova Solutions is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst for Data Governance to join our team in Fountain Valley, California. This role is pivotal in supporting Data Governance operations across various enterprise teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring system metadata, dictionaries, business glossaries, data lineage, and data security. This position requires close collaboration with technical partners, including ETL developers, integration developers, data stewards, DBAs, and architects, as well as business partners and leadership. The analyst will handle the daily administration of consumer privacy requests, ensuring compliance and effective data management practices. The Sr. Data Analyst will also maintain and update the data catalog and inventory, which includes contextual information on data elements, definitions, lineage, data policies, data protection, data access, data sharing, and data stewardship. Conducting impact analyses of regulatory changes, business initiatives, corrective action plans, and system changes on the Enterprise Data Governance program is a key responsibility. The analyst will prepare materials for regular core team meetings and key governance forums to review progress and initiatives with stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned on data governance strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong background in data governance, master data management, and data quality processes. Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in technical business analysis or data analysis roles. Proficiency in SQL and related technologies is essential, along with experience in data integration tools such as Informatica and Data Catalog tool CDGC. Familiarity with API testing and data analysis using Python/SQL on data stored in RDBMS like Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or within the Hadoop Ecosystem is also required. The ability to navigate organizational resources and collaborate effectively within a decentralized organization is crucial for success in this role.
